Marie our Limerick Coordinator met with Tommy O’Sullivan and The Limerick South Branch of The Irish Red Cross

Despite the heavy rain and high winds on Saturday last, Marie O’Connor, Coordinator for Limerick was delighted to meet with Tommy O’Sullivan who is contesting the local elections for a FG seat later this year. He was delighted with our 520 day and evening services for Kilfinane and other villages, as well as our new expanded 521 service from Charleville to Newcastle West and from Newcastle West to Charleville.

Mike Garvey and Con O’Brien, from the Limerick South branch were fundraising to raise much need funding for equipment and training for the great work that they do.

We had a great chat around the importance of transport and how it changes peoples lives. The Irish Red Cross is deeply committed to building resilience, through training programs in first aid, disaster preparedness, and health education. They empower individuals and communities to better cope with and recover from emergencies.
